About us
ADFIAP Institute conducts regular training and capacity-building activities under two types: full or partially subsidized and fee-based.
The ADFIAP Institute (formerly Institute of Development Finance) is the Professional Training and Career Service Center of the Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and the Pacific (ADFIAP). Its mission is to provide continuing education and technical assistance to bankers and finance executives engaged in the financing of development. It is backed by over 45 years of experience and expertise in organizing training programs, seminars, and conferences around the world through the Association, its members, and international partners. It has in its training portfolio a variety of subjects in development banking and management, a worldwide network of resource persons and experts, and a comprehensive collection of teaching material and case studies.
The ADFIAP Institute is one of the service units of the Association and managed by officers and staff who have a combined international training experience of over 50 years in training needs assessment, design and delivery, conference and training events organizing, and human resource management. It has a worldwide reach of over a hundred training managers who provide consulting and advisory services to the Institute.
To ensure the effectiveness and relevance of the training programs, ADFIAP Institute utilizes a faculty and facilitator composed of carefully selected from a pool of professors and management experts from the Asia-Pacific Region.
Human resource development, specific training, is one of the strengths of the Association. ADFIAP, through its ADFIAP Institute (formerly ADFIAP’s Institute of Development Finance), has organized over a hundred conferences, symposia, and seminars not only in the Asia-Pacific region but in Europe and North America as well, notably Germany, the U.S., and Canada.
